PFC Terry C. Smith Detachment

As some of you know, I have been working on getting us some short sleave button up shirts. It took my contact awhile, but I finally have a few on hand. I have several XL and a couple XXl shirts for sale at the very low price of $20. The EGA on this shirt is a little bigger than the polo shirts we usually wear, but the detail is much better. Over the Memorial Day long weekend the detachment was represented in several functions honoring the fallen.

On Sunday, May 25th the Detachment provided the honor guard for the lowering of the flag service for Memorial day at Floral Gardens in High Point.  I had the opportunity to participate in that ceremony. It was a day of solemn remembrance.  I hope everyone took the time to remember what Memorial day means to us all.

The officers page is now filled in with everybodys name and picture.  The Uniform Guidelines section, the PFC Terry C. Smith section and the About us section are still a work in progress and will not be finished before the meeting on April 24th.

I just found out that PBS is going to start a miniseries April 27th detailing a 2005 deployment of the USS Nimitz to the persian gulf. They specifically are going to get into the daily lifes of the Sailors and Marines on board. Make sure you check it out. http://www.pbs.org/weta/carrier/

I am really happy with where the page is going. I need to flesh out the pages, and maybe make the look a little slicker, but really we are about 70% finished with the design phase.

I have added a calendar to the top right. Believe it or not its a google calendar and i can easily give members the ability to add events to it.

This site is still in the developmental stages. more to come in the near future. Looking at this site right now is kind of like looking at the bare chassis of a car in the garage, Come back occasionally and see the changes as this site is constructed. -Smitty
